The Los Angeles Lakers took another step on the way to the Western Conference Finals, where they will likely meet the city rival that leads 1: 3 over Denver.
LeBron James and his team overcame a late-night Houston comeback tonight (Thursday through Friday), en route to a 100-110 finish.
In fact the Lakers led throughout the game, and after a close first quarter that ended at 22:26, the yellow-purple run came in the second quarter, and half of the teams went down with a score of 41:57.
In the third quarter the difference remained around 15 points, but in the last quarter the Rockets led by James Harden started to bite with an advantage and a little less than a minute to go, the scoreboard showed only 100: 105.
This is where Alex Caruso came into the picture burying a big three, stopping Houston's comeback attempt.
Anthony Davis led the team from City of Angels with 29 points (9 of 9 from the line), to which he also added 12 rebounds and 5 assists.
LeBron James finished with 16 points (0 of 5 from three), 15 rebounds and 9 assists.
Alex Caruso also scored 16 points, Rajon Rondo 11 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists.
Among the losers, Russell Westbrook scored 25 points, James Harden 21 (2 of 11 from the field, 16 of 20 from the penalty spot) and 10 assists.
Eric Cordon added 19, Austin Rivers added 14.
