Japanese Naomi Osaka won the US Open Tennis Championship by defeating Belarusian Victoria Azarenka, two sets to one, in the final.
Osaka lost in the first set 1-6 before rebelling and deciding in the second and third sets in its favor by 6-3, 6-3, to win the match that lasted 1 hour and 53 minutes.
This is the sixth title for the 22-year-old Japanese star in her professional career and the third in the US Open after her first title in 2018 at the expense of landlord Serena Williams and the third in the Grand Slam tournaments, where she won the Australian Open last year at the expense of Czech Petra Kvitova.
