The runner-up Borussia Dortmund has moved into the second round of the DFB Cup.
The team of coach Lucien Favre prevailed 5-0 (3-0) against third division MSV Duisburg.
At BVB, there were two newcomers in the starting line-up: 17-year-old Jude Bellingham and Thomas Meunier, who was signed by Paris Saint-Germain.
Another 17-year-old, Giovanni Reyna, who was able to convince in preparation, started in the position in the central attacking midfield.
Captain Marco Reus was substituted on later - and scored after three seconds.
After a handball by Maximilian Sauer, BVB was awarded a penalty, Jadon Sancho converted in the top left (14th minute).
After half an hour, new signing Bellingham increased after Thorgan Hazard hung up the heel.
The game seemed decided early.
Hazard straightened the ball just before the penalty area and slipped into the far left corner (39th).
After a through pass from Hazard, Dominic Volkmer only knew what to do with an emergency brake against Erling Haaland who was hurrying away.
The defender was sent off, and Hazard converted the subsequent free kick straight into the goal (39.)
After the break, Dortmund continued to take advantage of the majority.
Reyna's low shot was deflected untenable by teammate Witsel (50.).
Then Lucien Favre made a diligent substitution, Marco Reus came into play.
It took exactly three seconds for the BVB captain to score: Sancho chipped through to the national player, who pushed in at the bottom right (58th).
As a result, Duisburg did not allow any further hits.
