National player Robin Koch celebrated his first victory in the Premier League after 16 years of abstinence with promoted Leeds United in the second attempt - and again there was a spectacle, again seven goals were scored.
The former European Cup finalist defeated Fulham 4: 3 (2: 1) in an exciting game.
The Portuguese Helder Costa was the match winner with two goals.
Leeds had to tremble after the 3: 4 defeat at champions FC Liverpool from the previous week despite a 4-1 lead against Fulham in the end.
But the team of coach Bielsa brought the narrow lead over time.
Koch owed another penalty, which had happened to him against Liverpool.
Manchester United got off to a bad start, Everton wins again
Record champions Manchester United made a false start.
The Red Devils conceded a 1: 3 (0: 1) home defeat against Crystal Palace in their belated league start.
The Ivorian Wilfried Zaha shocked the team of team manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as a double goal scorer.
For United only the Dutch signing Donny van de Beek met.
For Everton FC, former Bayern professional James Rodriguez was a guarantee of victory.
At 5: 2 (2: 1) against newly promoted West Bromwich Albion, the Colombian shone with a goal and an assist.
The Toffees sat at the top of the table for the time being after their opening win at Tottenham Hotspur (1-0).
Although the guests took the lead early, they had to cope with the dismissals from left-back Kieran Gibbs and her coach Slaven Bilic.
Gibbs saw the red card shortly before the break after an assault against James (45th + 1), while walking into the catacombs, the protesting Bilic was sent to the stands.
