Ivan Rakitic announced his retirement from international football.
"The decision to bid farewell to the Croatian national team is the most difficult in my career, but I feel that it is the right time to move away and make this decision, knowing that I enjoyed every match I played with my country and the memorable moments were during the World Cup, as it will remain among the best for me," Rakitic wrote on Twitter. .
"I am convinced that we have a great team and have a promising future ahead of them. I wish success to my friends and colleagues in the upcoming challenges, and I am the biggest supporter of them," Rakitic added.
Rakitic was an important player in the Croatia squad, playing 106 matches with him, scoring 15 goals.
