As first reported in "Israel Today", Maccabi Tel Aviv announced today (Tuesday) the signing of national guard Max Heidegger on a three-season contract.
Heidegger (23, 1.91m) opened the season well with 19.9 points per game, overcame an ankle injury and finished the year as Santa Barbara's leading scorer with 16 points per game, 3.2 assists and 2.4 rebounds.
"I am excited to join a team with such a tradition of victories and titles alongside a winning culture," Max Heidegger told the club's official website after the signing.
"This is the most decorated club in history with over a hundred titles. It's a great thing. I want to join the tradition that already exists there and continue the tradition that Maccabi has already established. I am excited to start, to reach Tel Aviv and try to contribute."
Coach Yannis Sapropoulos added: "Maccabi continues to invest in young players with great potential to play at the highest levels. Therefore we are very happy to have Max Heidegger in the Maccabi family. He is a talented player with potential and we also invest in him due to his shooting ability.
