+++ RUMOR +++

Götze at Bayern in conversation

Imagine the following scenario: Bayern Munich signs Mario Götze.

Coach Hansi Flick introduces Götze, who has been playing under his potential for years, to the Bayern starting XI.

The 28-year-old convinces, scores goals and is back in the national team.

Sure, that sounds very far from reality.

According to "Sport-Bild", at least step one is no longer excluded.

Flick, who has formed the former national players Thomas Müller and Jérôme Boateng into top performers since taking office last November, is said to have phoned the currently uninitiated Götze and internally promoted a commitment.

Despite all the dominance of his team, Flick knows the biggest problem when it comes to defending the three titles in the season that has just started: the squad that is too thin.

The coach has already called for reinforcements several times, compared to the previous season, five experienced professionals are missing: Thiago, probably Javi Martínez and the three loan players Ivan Perisic, Philippe Coutinho and Alvaro Odriozola who have returned to their clubs.

In times of the corona pandemic, however, the club refers to financial constraints and does not want to sign expensive players.

But can that work with a second Götze attempt (he was in Munich from 2013 to 2016)?

Götze is ambitious, wants to play for the title again after his time at Borussia Dortmund and would be available for a free transfer.

On the other hand: Götze was not able to assert himself in Dortmund, he was often not even substituted.

Although the Munich are looking for a supplementary player.

And Götze could cover several positions on the offensive.

However, it is then questionable whether Flick could bring him back to the level of performance so that he can really help the team.

At the moment, Götze's actual return seems very unlikely.

Isn't Dest coming to Bayern after all?

In the tug-of-war for the Dutch full-back Sergiño Dest, FC Barcelona prevailed, according to a report by the Catalan television station TV3, despite an improved offer from Bayern Munich.

Ajax Amsterdam, the previous club of Dest, have already signed an agreement with Barcelona that provides for a payment of around 25 million euros, according to TV3.

Only the timing of the payments is still open.

There was initially no official confirmation from FC Barcelona on Wednesday.

The Portuguese Nelson Semedo, on the other hand, has left Barcelona and joined Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League.

The Wolves reportedly pay a € 40 million transfer fee for the full-back, which is the only reason Barcelona could afford Dest.

+++ BEFORE THE DEAL +++

Leverkusen is about to sign Arias

The Colombian international Santiago Arias has completed the medical check at the Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen.

The transfer of the right-back from Atlético Madrid is imminent.

Allegedly there should be a loan deal with a subsequent purchase option for ten to twelve million euros.

A confirmation of the transfer from Leverkusen side is still pending.
