Barcelona has announced the departure of its striker Luis Suarez to Atletico Madrid during the current summer transfer market.
Reuters quoted the Spanish club as saying in an official statement that "Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have reached an agreement on the transfer of Luis Suarez and the Madrid club will pay 6 million euros as variants."
The statement added that "FC Barcelona expresses its gratitude to Suarez for his commitment and dedication, and wishes him success in the future."
Suarez joined Barcelona in the summer of 2014 from Liverpool, England, and won 13 titles during his 6 years with the Catalan team.
