The English club Chelsea announced that it had signed a contract with Senegalese goalkeeper Edouard Mendy from Rennes.
The club stated on its official website today that it had signed a contract with 28-year-old Mandi for a period of five years.
Mendy managed to keep nine clean sheets in 24 matches in the French League last season, where he contributed to Rennes finishing third and reaching the European Champions League for the first time in its history.
