VfB coach Sugzda: The friendship rests for 90 minutes

The regional league footballers of VfB Hallbergmoos will meet the former club of coach Gedi Sugzda on Friday.

It is still unclear who will be in the goal.

 - TuS Holzkirchen has had its best days - and those were closely linked to the name Gedi Sugzda.

The coach of VfB Hallbergmoos worked in Holzkirchen from 2014 to 2018, made promotion to the Bayernliga Süd with the team, where he was able to stay upright.

On Friday (7.30 p.m., stadium at the airport) Sugzda welcomes VfB to his ex-club - in the hope that it will also make it into the Bayern League.

Holzkirchen is currently miles away from the Bayern League and is right in front of the relegation places of the Landesliga.

"After the game against us, I wish you a winning streak," emphasizes Sugzda.

"I had a very good time there and I hope that they can stay up." The VfB coach also keeps his fingers crossed for Holzkirchen for the special way of playing with many players from their own youth regional league.

The second in the table must score three times

The friendship with the former club will of course rest for 90 minutes at the first home game after the corona lockdown.

The second in the table wants to score three times to stay ahead in the business.

And for that, the Hallbergmooser will probably gain a little offensively compared to the strong performance in Karlsfeld: Daniel Bauer should move into the team for Christoph Mömkes, who is probably injured.

With the outside players Bauer and Tobias Krause, the direction of the march is pre-programmed.

"Our match plan will be such that we cause problems in Holzkirchen," says trainer Gedi Sugzda.

Another Hallbergmooser with a wooden church past is Ljeotrim Sekiraqa, who VfB could use in view of the scarce staff on the outside lanes.

From 2012 to 2017 he played - with a short break - at TuS and was always a regular there.

At VfB, Sekiraqa only has two appearances with a total of 14 minutes in the statistics this season, as he kept getting injured.

However, there is currently hope that the 27-year-old's suffering will now end.

Does Ferdi Kozel play?

Sugzda can imagine adding Sekiraqa to the squad.

But more important than the minutes played against the former club is for the coach not to expose the midfielder to any risks.

"He can still be very valuable for our team," says Sugzda, who already appreciated Sekiraqa as a leading player in Holzkirchen.

Meanwhile, there is still a question mark behind keeper Ferdi Kozel, who hurt his knee last week when he equalized in Karlsfeld.

Nothing worse happened, but a break against Holzkirchen could be necessary.

Coach Gedi Sugzda is not worried about substitute Martin Dinkel either.
