The semi-final of the Sky and White Rugby European Cup will be played this Saturday afternoon at the Paris-La Défense Arena in front of an audience.

It was expected, it is now certain.

Racing 92 will play its European Champions Cup semi-final against the Saracens this Saturday (2 p.m.) in front of 1000 people.

Its stadium, Paris-La Défense Arena, is located in Nanterre in the Hauts-de-Seine, an enhanced Covid-19 traffic alert zone, as the government announced on Wednesday.

The owners of the enclosure will launch this Friday the reimbursement measures for the spectators who had taken their ticket for the confrontation against the English, learned in the day Le Parisien.

Subscribers and supporters' associations will be privileged in the choice of seats.

Until early Friday afternoon, the owners of the enclosure were still uncertain, awaiting a final confirmation from the prefecture of the department.

A boxing match with 5,000 spectators this Friday evening

For the enclosure, it is a new financial disappointment.

Paris-La Défense Arena, which has already lost 28 million euros since March, will record for this meeting an additional net loss of 115,000 to 120,000 euros with this gauge of 1000 people.

A few hours earlier on Friday evening, the boxing fight between Tony Yoka and Johann Duhaupas organized in the same enclosure will be able to dispute him with a gauge of 5000. The government measures take effect from this Saturday morning.

Since confinement, Racing 92 has evolved only once at home before its semi-final against the Saracens.

It was September 11, on the occasion of the arrival of Montpellier in Top 14. At the time, the gauge was 5000 people.

An influx at home that the Ile-de-France rugby players are not ready to see again as they are.
