FC Augsburg - Borussia Dortmund 2: 0 (1: 0)
For at least 24 hours, the Bundesliga leader is called FC Augsburg.
After the FCA had won at Union on matchday 1, they now had a surprise win over BVB.
Felix Uduokhai headed the hosts after a free-kick to give the lead (40th minute).
There was no sign of this until then, BVB had been the superior team, Uduokhai's attempt was the first ever for Augsburg.
Dortmund, who are now more offensive, were caught by surprise only a little later by an ex-Schalke: Daniel Caligiuri sprinted Thomas Meunier away and increased to 2-0 (54th).
Anyone expecting a powerful response from the favorite was disappointed.
Visually, the Borussia remained superior, but there were hardly any clear scoring chances.
In the table, BVB is tenth, three points behind FCA.
Bayer Leverkusen - RB Leipzig 1: 1 (1: 1)
Despite being in the lead, Leipzig missed an away win.
Emil Forsberg had shot RB in the lead after a quarter of an hour (and previously dribbled around Lars Bender).
Even before that, Kevin Kampl had missed a big chance for the guests.
The Leverkusen equalization came as a surprise, but was very nice to look at: Kerem Demirbay shot the ball in such a way that it took an almost unpredictable trajectory and dropped sharply, it struck between the hand of goalkeeper Peter Gulácsis and the crossbar (20th).
As a result, both teams had good chances in an entertaining game.
Florian Wirtz failed for Bayer on the post, Leipzig's Hee-Chan Hwang shot the ball free-standing over the goal after Christopher Nkunku had failed with a free kick to Bayer's Lukas Hradecky (74.).
Mainz 05 - VfB Stuttgart 1: 4 (1: 1)
The team had struck a training session on Wednesday, so the Mainz appearance against VfB was expected with particular excitement.
The result: it was pretty disappointing.
05 even took the early lead by Robin Quaison (13th).
But even then, the promoted team from Stuttgart was the more dangerous team.
The fact that VfB was able to turn the game around was therefore not a sensation.
Silas Wamangituka equalized before the break (45th), Daniel Didavi gave Stuttgart the lead (61st).
Mainz defender Moussa Niakhaté later had to leave the pitch with yellow-red (77th), shortly afterwards Mateo Klimowicz (80th) and Sasa Kalajdzic (86th) decided the game.
Stuttgart's Pascal Stenzel was sent off with yellow and red (90th).
Mainz is 17th with zero points from two games, VfB improved to seventh place.
Borussia Mönchengladbach - Union Berlin 1: 1 (0: 0)
Mönchengladbach is still waiting for the first league win this season.
Borussia struggled against Berlin and were lucky not to fall behind;
Unions Sheraldo Becker hit the crossbar after about half an hour (31st).
A corner kick gave Gladbach the lead, Marcus Thuram headed a cross from Jonas Hofmann into the goal (56th).
Nico Schlotterbeck managed to equalize for the guests (80th).
After the 3-0 draw against BVB, Gladbach only has one point after two match days, which results in 14th place.
Arminia Bielefeld - 1. FC Cologne 1: 0 (0: 0)
Cologne is still waiting for the first Bundesliga victory since the beginning of March.
The team of coach Markus Gisdol lost in Bielefeld, the last time FC won on March 6th in Paderborn, since then 13 games have been played.
In Bielefeld, Cologne won more deals than Arminia, but big opportunities were rare.
Arminias Joan Edmundsson then hit FC goalkeeper Timo Horn from a very acute angle in the short corner, whether the goal scorer had planned it that way or not actually wanted to cross was not entirely clear (78th).
With zero points from two games, FC are currently 15th in the table, Bielefeld is fourth with four points.
