Last Thursday, after quite a few rumors and reports, Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez has officially signed with his new team Atletico Madrid, after six seasons at Barcelona.
Last night (Friday), after officially signing his contract, he talked about the move on the team's official website.
"I should not have been persuaded to come here," Suarez said.
"This is one of the biggest clubs in the world and that was enough for me. Atletico has a great tradition, excellent players, good crowd and I like that the team is fighting for all the titles. The coach also adds of course. Even as a Barcelona player I would watch Atletico from the side and be impressed by its determination and motivation. That I will soon feel it myself. "

"It is clear that the fact that Cello is coaching Atletico is a big plus," the striker added.
"He's full of emotion and knowledge, he's a great coach. I'm here anyway, I came here to help the team compete for all the titles and be part of this great project. I do not believe the team's style of play will change because of me; a player does not change team style, but adapts himself. "And that's what I will do. I have been to Ajax, Liverpool and Barcelona - they are all different teams and I am sure I will adapt to Atletico as well."
