In a first interview following the saga of Leo Messi's request to leave Barcelona, the star sends messages of calming down between him and the only club he has played for in his career.
The flea was interviewed by the Catalan newspaper "Sport" and tried to announce the end of the conflict.
"After so many disagreements, I want to put an end to it, put the arguments behind us. I take responsibility for the mistakes I made, and if there were any it was just because I wanted for the benefit of Barcelona, to be better and stronger."
The Argentine continued: "If any of the fans are hurt by something I said or did, I want to remove any doubt, everything I did was always with the good of the club before my eyes."
Just last week Messi attacked the club's management in a post farewell letter he wrote to his friend Luis Suarez, who he claims was "thrown" from Barcelona to Atletico Madrid.
But these days the flea already sounds different.
"We need to be united. The only way to achieve our goals is for us all to be in one direction," he said.
