Hannover 96 won the Lower Saxony derby against newly promoted Eintracht Braunschweig in the 2nd Bundesliga.

96 now takes the lead in the table.

Braunschweig falls to 16th place.

Hannover dominated the first match since 2017 from the beginning and had a lot more play.

In the second minute of the game, Hanover's captain Dominik Kaiser missed the first goal with a shot across the bar.

Nevertheless, Braunschweig took the lead: Martin Kobylanski hit the right angle from 20 meters (51st), Linton Maina (54th) ensured the equalizer.

But then Hendrik Weydandt (71st), Niklas Hult (74th) and Genki Haraguchi (86th) followed suit for Hanover.

Three games, one point, 15th place - and thus the opposite of what the Bundesliga relegated Paderborn had hoped for at the beginning.

Against Heidenheim, Steffen Baumgart's team didn't get past 0-0.

In the game there was no goal danger from the start.

The game only picked up speed shortly before the break when Paderborn's Svante Ingelsson crossed the gate from close range (37th).

FCH coach Frank Schmidt had started four debut eleven for me, but that didn't pay off.

It was only in the second half that the hosts put more pressure on, but did not use their shot opportunities.

The best was awarded by Jens Föhrenbach, who shot from eight meters next to the Paderborn goal (80th).

After two draws at the beginning of the season, Jahn Regensburg celebrated the first success.

Striker Andreas Albers hit his head against Karlsruher SC (44th).

After the break, KSC had the chance to equalize at the penalty spot.

But goalkeeper Alexander Meyer parried the weak penalty from Philipp Hofmann (51.).

KSC is still waiting for the first win of the season and remains in penultimate place in the table.

Regensburg, on the other hand, climbed to fifth place.
