As the public prosecutor in Frankfurt am Main announced, suspicions of particularly serious tax evasion were raised against a total of around 200 officials.
The DFB headquarters in Frankfurt and private apartments are currently being searched by DFB officials - the measures took place in Hesse, Bavaria, North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate.
The allegations relate to income from perimeter advertising from home international matches of the German national team in 2014 and 2015.
