Tanguy Kouassi will not play the first six games of the 2020-2021 Champions League.

The 18-year-old center-back, who can also play a defensive midfielder, has not been selected by his new club Bayern Munich from the list of players registered with UEFA.

A small disillusionment for the hope of French football, trained at PSG and left with a crash in Germany this summer.

European clubs can provide two lists to the organizing body of the Champions League.

List A must be composed of 25 players, including at least two goalkeepers and eight players trained in the country concerned (including four trained within the club concerned).

A B list, with an unlimited number of players, can also be provided to UEFA.

Must include players born after January 1, 1998 but only those who could have played with the club concerned, in this case Bayern Munich, during an interrupted period of at least two years after the player's 15 years.

Clearly, this list concerns in particular players trained at the club and present, for example, in the reserve team.

Choupo-Moting will be

Arrived this summer at Bayern Munich, Tanguy Kouassi cannot appear in this second list when it would have been the case by remaining at PSG.

Last season, with his training club, he made two appearances in the Champions League, including a tenure against Galatasaray (5-0).

Currently injured in a thigh, Kouassi should return to training at the end of October but will therefore see his teammates play the C1 without him.

Unlike Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, also recruited free by Bayern this summer.

Leonardo and Thomas Tuchel would have liked to see him stay at PSG in order to continue his development.

A three-season professional contract had been offered to him.

The Parisian by birth declined the offer to join Bayern, much to the regret of the red and blue technician.

“It's no secret: I like him a lot.

He played against Dortmund in the tightest game, with as much tension as possible.

Without a contract, at 17, I mean… I had a lot of confidence.

He had a great future in this club.

He knows it, I told him: this was not the time for him to leave the club.

I can not understand.

I'm sad.

It's hard to understand, ”Tuchel assured last June.
