The four third division teams from the extended Munich city area have started the season well - and can now cling to the top.
Munich - First and second division professionals are allowed to take a breather for a weekend, there is no international break for their colleagues from the third division - which should be particularly pleasing for the newly promoted Saarbrücken and Verl.
And not only that: The four clubs from the extended Munich metropolitan area also got into the season well, all placed in the top half of the table before the fourth match day.
In an intermediate check, we show what is already going well at TSV 1860, SpVgg Unterhaching, Türkgücü and FC Bayern II - and where there is still room for improvement.
TSV 1860
Current situation: best start across the league for 13 years, unusual harmony - and a grateful home game in front of the chest: Lübeck comes on Saturday, the worst climber on paper (two points, 16th place).
What stands out positively: The lions are now wide awake in the games, which the lightning tours in Meppen (after 2:22 minutes) and Zwickau (after 37 seconds) prove.
In general, it is noticeable that the well-rehearsed team comes even more with unity, fighting spirit and mental strength: In their away wins, Sascha Mölders and Co. showed themselves undeterred after equalizing goals in the meantime - and even after falling behind against Magdeburg it was enough for one point of battle in the end .
Where there is room for improvement: in the balance sheet in games without spectators
Since the outbreak of the corona pandemic, the lions have competed in front of empty home stands seven times - they only kept all three points in Giesing three times.
But at least 1500 fans are allowed on Saturday.
Türkgücü
Current situation: A dream start for a newcomer: The 2-2 win against last year's champions Bayern II was followed by spectacular appearances against Lautern (3-0) and in Mannheim (4-4).
And now: Home game against Wehen in "Oly", which has not been used for professional football since 2005.
What stands out positively: While most third division teams come through the collective, two individualists stand out at Türkgücü: Sercan Sararer and Petar Sliskovic.
Both also convincingly lead the scorer list of the 3rd division: Sararer got 7 points (2 + 5), Sliskovic on 5 (4 + 1).
Where there is room for improvement: A look at the goal difference speaks volumes: Nine goals scored are league leaders - six conceded are only outbid by Mannheim.
A 4-2 lead, like the last one at SV Waldhof, should normally bring in more than one away point.
SpVgg Unterhaching
Current situation: Even after Schromm's withdrawal (head of sport) and the installation of Arie van Lent as a trainer, SpVgg has remained an oasis of calm.
The opening defeat in Zwickau (1: 2) was balanced out with two 1: 0 victories (against Lübeck and in Ingolstadt).
With a home win against Meppen, Haching can now cling to the top.
What stands out positively: The consistency in the defensive network pays off: Only Robert Müller (33, Cottbus) is new - he replaces Alexander Winkler, 28, who has switched to FCK.
In addition, Haching has also strengthened the squad quantitatively (30 men), which makes it possible to make up for the absence of the five long-term injuries (including Hain, Stahl).
Where there is room for improvement: minimalism in results brings points and calm, but a little more offensive power would not only please ex-striker van Lent.
So far, all three hits have fallen by standards.
FC Bayern II
Current situation: The young team is exactly the lucky bag that coach Holger Seitz had announced.
At the moment everything is still possible: A 0: 3 in Verl as well as a 3: 0 against top favorite Dresden.
