Marcus Rashford, the Manchester United striker, was awarded the Medal of Honor (MBE) by Queen Elizabeth II for his work in helping children get meals in schools during the Corona virus crisis.
MBE represents a member of the Order of the British Empire and is the respect that Britain bestows on its citizens who have had a positive impact on society.
Rashford is added to other notable footballers who have received the title in the past: Harry Kane, Steven Gerrard, Ian Wright and more.
Already a few months ago the 22-year-old actor received compliments from British Prime Minister Boris Johnson who praised him for helping needy children and donating them hot meals.
Rashford has also raised £ 20m for charities working to fight poverty.
In response to the honor he received he said: "This is a special moment for me personally but I feel I am still at the beginning of the path I started a few months ago. I think what I would like to do now is talk directly to the Prime Minister and ask for an extension to the children until at least mid-October I think the families need it. "
