Everton's ten-year wait for a derby victory did not come to an end this afternoon (Saturday) at Goodison Park, but given the 2-2 draw circumstances it is a result that Carlo Ancelotti's side can be pleased with.

Certainly a few seconds before the final whistle Everton had already come to terms with the fact that despite her stubborn struggle and despite coming back twice from behind she would be left empty-handed.

Jordan Henderson kicked a ball that penetrated Jordan Pickford's trembling hands and looked like Liverpool's winning goal, except then the Warr came into the picture and sculpted that goal over the head of a wayward elbow.

Long before this event, the Warr and Pickford were already at the center of things.

After Sadio Mane put the champions ahead early, the England goalkeeper came in wildly at the feet of Virgil Van Dyke but the referee only checked the dividing line - which indeed was - and Pickford was not punished at all for a serious injury to the Dutchman who was forced to end the game In the knee ligaments and may be absent from the pitches between 7-8 months.

Without its defensive anchor and without Allison still injured, Liverpool absorbed a corner kick within minutes.

Hamas Rodriguez raised, Michael Cain hit, and it's 1: 1.

Muhammad Salah returned the advantage to Jurgen Klopp's side in the second half with his 100th goal in the red uniform, while Dominic Calbert Loin on the other hand continued his marvelous season opener.

A huge strike by the English striker raised his tally to seven goals this season and set the final score, not before Richardson was sent off after a sharp entry in Thiago who was also injured.

"I saw the last goal again and I did not see a difference," Klopp was furious at the end;

"I want someone to explain to me, because I feel like it was different just because someone wanted it to be different."
