Led by the score before quickly equalizing in the first period, Beauvais, promoted to N2, had to wait until the last minutes to cross the 5

Beauvais, promoted to National 2, will play in the 6th round of the Coupe de France in two weeks.

Sébastien Dailly's players have indeed qualified by overcoming Feignies-Aulnoye (N3) at the end of the game this Saturday at the Pierre-Brisson stadium in Beauvais.

The man of the match, Gaëtan Fallempin

He had played only 18 minutes, a week earlier in the league against the Auxerre reserve (4-1).

This Saturday against Feignies-Aulnoye in the Coupe de France, Gaëtan Fallempin nicely celebrated his first tenure after an adductor injury which had kept him away from the field since the second day of N3.

It was he, in fact, who put his team in the right direction.

An unstoppable header (30th), on a free kick, which allowed his team to have no doubts against a hierarchically inferior opponent.

The Northerners, penultimate of N3, led from the 26th minute and the opening of the score by Courtin on a shot from the former Beauvaisien Calderara kicked back by Atrous.

In the process, Fallempin, who had been requested by Sampdoria de Genoa in 2013, was on the verge of adding to the bill, on a cannonball slammed for a corner by the keeper (36th) and on a recovery just above of the frame (38th).

The turning point of the match: the head of Brice Tutu qualifies Beauvais

Two games, two goals.

Brice Tutu hasn't wasted any time since he joined Beauvais on October 5, just hours before the end of the transfer window.

After opening the scoring last Saturday in the league against Auxerre (b) with a strong strike at the reception of a corner from Mauquit, the center forward on loan from Caen (L2), with whom he is under contract until 'in 2022, this time Beauvais qualified for the 6th round thanks to a victorious strike at the end of the match (2-1, 85th).

Upon receiving a free kick from Mauquit, the one who was trained in Caen lifts his 1.94 m above the opposing defenders and delivers the Asbo.

The number: 2

This match of the 5th round of the Coupe de France was the second meeting in two years for the two teams who were fighting for the rise to N2 last season.

A fierce struggle since when the championships were stopped due to the coronavirus crisis, Beauvais was in first place in the group with 30 points just ahead of… Feignies-Aulnoy.

The two rivals had only faced each other in the first leg, on October 5, 2019, Beauvais winning in Brisson (1-0) thanks to a goal by Alhassane Traoré in the 1st minute against the Northerners then… leaders.

He said…

Sébastien Dailly, Beauvais coach: “It was a fairly complicated game, because we struggled to score those goals.

But, in the state of mind, apart from the first 20 minutes when we struggled to get into the match and where we were on a false pace, we did what was necessary as we went to score this 2nd goal and be able to win.

The main thing should be remembered: qualification.
