Pauline Ferrand-Prévot won for the first time, this Saturday noon in Monte Tamaro in Switzerland, the cross-country event of the European Championships.
The Frenchwoman won exactly one week after putting on the rainbow jersey of world champion in the specialty in Austria.
The tricolor blonde did as a week ago: she won largely by achieving a real solo rider.
After the first of five laps of the race, she was already 14 seconds ahead of her main rival, the Dutchman Anne Terpstra.
This gap then never stopped increasing: 25 then 44 seconds over the laps to allow the native of Reims to spend a day without anxiety to manage her room for maneuver.

With this new trophy, Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, 28, further expands her already rich record of three cross-country mountain bike world titles (2015, 2019, 2020), a road world title (2014), another in cyclo-cross (2016) and French championship titles by shovel.
Looking more closely, she still misses one, the most beautiful: the Olympic gold medal that she will pick up next summer, if all goes well, in Tokyo.
