Before the fourth matchday, Fortuna Düsseldorf had declared promotion as the official season goal, after two defeats from three games at the start of the season.

And against Regensburg there was a threat of defeat for 85 minutes, so Fortuna would even have slipped into a relegation zone.

But Kenan Karaman with a beautiful individual action (81st minute) and Rouven Hennings (86th), who returned to the starting line-up after an injury, saved their team from the third defeat of the season in the fourth game with 2-2 (0-2).

Andreas Albers had put the guests in the lead after 24 seconds with the fastest professional goal in the club's history.

Sebastian Stolze (20th) also met for the guests.

Nevertheless, it was a rather lucky point win for the relegated team, Düsseldorf played little creatively, remained too harmless in attack, the 18-year-old starting eleven debutant Jamil Siebert acted unhappy in central defense with both goals conceded in the first half.

Thomas Pledl initially missed the greatest chance of scoring the next goal in the 55th minute about three meters from the opposing goal.

"If you come to an equalizer very late, you should be happy about the point. If you look at the whole game, there was more to it," said Hennings after the game at Sky.

Regensburg remains unbeaten in fifth place, but missed chances of victory even in the hectic final minutes of the game.

Düsseldorf is twelfth with four points.

Holstein Kiel has regained the championship lead that it had lost for a day.

After the 2-0 (1-0) at the Würzburger Kickers, the team of coach Ole Werner pulled past Hamburger SV again.

Janni Serra initially scored himself (22nd), in the final phase opponent Lars Dietz steered the ball into his own goal after a duel with Serra (75th).

Thanks to the 1-0 (1-0) win at SpVgg Greuther Fürth, HSV remains the only team still free of loss points, but has played one game less than the competition.

With the first win of the season, Bundesliga relegated SC Paderborn freed themselves from the table cellar and promoted Hannover 96 inflicted the second away defeat.

The East Westphalian eleven, which had changed to four positions and had to do without Sebastian Vasiliadis and Christopher Antwi-Adjei, won 1-0 (1-0) with a remarkable goal from Johannes Dörfler (26th minute).

SCP trainer Steffen Baumgart did without the entries Marco Terrazzino and Marcel Heller, who was not yet in the squad.

The guests, for whom Simon Falette was in the starting eleven, had little to oppose the strong and powerful Paderborn team for a long time and only came to better action in the last half hour, but couldn't equalize.

For Paderborn it is the first league win (formerly Bundesliga) since January 25th.

FC Erzgebirge Aue temporarily moved up to third place in front of the Hanoverians.

The "Veilchen" defeated 1. FC Heidenheim 2: 1 (0: 0) in the local Erzgebirgsstadion.

Malcolm Cacutalua headed the lead for the hosts after 54 minutes in front of 500 spectators.

Pascal Testroet (79th) made the decision.

The Heidenheim goal from a penalty shot by Tobias Mohr (87th) came too late.
