1. FC Köln have collected their first point in the current Bundesliga season.

In the home game against Eintracht Frankfurt, Cologne managed to equalize to 1-1 (0: 1) after falling behind.

Frankfurt remains undefeated, but missed a place in the top group of the table due to its vulnerability in the switching game - second place behind RB Leipzig would have been possible.

Frankfurt determined the game from the start, but could not convert their possession into clear chances.

Cologne concentrated entirely on defensive work.

Both teams went resolutely into the duels and were repeatedly whistled back.

A game flow came about so rarely.

Accordingly, the Frankfurt leadership did not fall out of the game: Bas Dost played a long ball on Daichi Kamada, who fell in a duel with Sebastiaan Bornauw.

The Japanese international was on the ball first - the referee team decided after video evidence on the penalty (45th).

Silva turned safely into the right corner, Frankfurt took the lead into the break.

The second half began with a surprise: An inattentiveness on the part of Frankfurt's defense helped Cologne get their first chance - and they used it directly: A cross from Kingsley Ehizibue to Ondrej Duda, who was completely free, was enough to complete and equalize (52nd).

It was the first good action by Cologne in the game.

And that brought some life to the game: Both teams tried to get more offensive actions.

Especially Frankfurt around the strong Kamada pushed for the renewed leadership.

But the guests remained vulnerable to counterattacks: In the 62nd minute, it was again Duda who almost put Cologne at an advantage after a header - Eintracht goalkeeper Kevin Trapp steered the ball over the goal in extreme danger.

The game had now picked up speed.

There were significantly more penalty area scenes.

But none of the teams could convert them into further goals.

It stayed at 1: 1.
