The ice hackers of EV Moosburg crowned an almost optimal opening weekend in the regional league with a victory over Pegnitz.

After a 1: 4 deficit, the Green-Yellows won against the Ice Dogs from Pegnitz 6: 5 in extra time.
Peter Abstreiter scored the golden goal after 52 seconds of overtime.
Moosburg played there in a 4: 3 majority because the guests received a penalty shortly before the end of regular time.
In the power play, Miloslav Horava played the target to the blue line, where his brother Petr fired a heavy slap shot, distracting the defender indefensibly and thus made the decision.
The duel of the goal getters
Before that, the almost 100 fans in the Clariant Arena had seen a varied game that was the high-noon duel between two goal-getters in the first 40 minutes: Miloslav Horava on Moosburg's side and Roman Navarra in Pegnitz's.
Both had more than 60 scorer points last season.
It all started with Horava, who scored the 1-0 after passing the young Giuseppe Parlato (3rd).
Then Navarra put his cards on the table: first he scored the equalizer shortly before the end of the first third, and in section two he took the lead (21st) and 3: 1 (29th) before replacing Paul Schuster the 4: 1 prepared (33rd).
The EVM also had a chance, but was almost overwhelmed by the effectiveness of the guests.
Bernie Englbrecht's protégés did not let themselves be thrown off the rails.
Miloslav Horava reduced the lead to 2: 4 in the 34th minute.
Then the 37-year-old prepared the goals of Stefan Groß (35th) and Parlato (36th), so that it was 4: 4 at the third break.
Five points from two games "absolutely great".
In the 50th minute - Moosburg was outnumbered - Groß hammered the disc to make it 5: 4 under the crossbar.
The EVM was now on a controlled offensive and had chances through Jakob Killermann, Tobias Stuckenberger and Peter Abstreiter.
That went well until Abstreiter conceded a stupid penalty in the 57th minute - Pegnitz only needed eight seconds to bite.
Patrik Dzemla got the target at the right post and maneuvered it past goalie Max Englbrecht into the goal.
Moosburg was outnumbered in the last 50 seconds after a Navarra penalty time, but only managed to win in extra time.
With five points from two games, the EVM started the new season almost perfectly.
Board member Bernhard Loidl had expected three counters - "but five are of course absolutely great".
