A puck that ricocheted off in a Schongau attack led to a counter-attack, with which the “River Rats” scored the 3: 4 (57th).
Practically away from the face-off, the guests equalized: just 16 seconds later the target was again in the Schongauer Tor.
The "mammoths" tried everything again - even if they were outnumbered they still had a chance, reported Siegl.
A goal in the regular playing time did not want to succeed.
In extra time it was again the Geretsrieder who had more luck on their side.
ESC contingent player Ondrej Horváth shot, the puck rushed over the crossbar - and jumped from the grid behind the goal right in front of ESC player Florian Strobl onto the ice.
He reacted very quickly and scored to 5: 4.
"Two lost points", stated EAS spokesman Siegl soberly.
