White could not remain indifferent to Habib's appearance and announcement, and in his bullying and rude way responded: "Habib is the toughest boy on the planet. We are lucky to have seen him again after everything he went through. Less than a month ago he was in a hospital with "Broken foot. He didn't tell anyone about it, he just entered the arena and fought with a broken leg."

According to reports about three weeks before the battle the Russian broke one of his toes in two places, and if that was not enough he even suffered a relapse.

"His coach claimed the preparation for the fight was the worst in his career due to the illness he suffered from."
