Barcelona has recently managed to produce dramas on a daily basis, but today (Monday) it faces a truly fateful day.
At 1:30 p.m., a crucial board meeting will be held, at the end of which the infamous President Josep Maria Bartomeu may announce his resignation along with his board members.
According to reports, Bartomeu is furious at the Catalan government for ignoring its requests to postpone the island vote against him, which is scheduled to take place on November 1 and 2.
Bartomeu claims that the club was not given a real opportunity to prepare for the vote properly, and seeks to hold the vote not only at the Camp Nou but also at other hotspots, in order to meet the conditions of social distance.
If Bartomeu finally announces that the vote will not be postponed, "there is a high chance he will announce his immediate resignation," according to Catalan media reports.

According to RAC1, the president is convinced that Jordi Para, the candidate to replace him as president of Barcelona and who is leading the fight against him, has used his good relations with senior officials of the Catalan parliament to prevent a postponement of the vote.
Bartomeu "feels haunted" and believes that "there is someone who has already decided for him not to continue," and worries that this will happen in different and strange ways.
The same Jordi Para will enter a press conference before the Barcelona board meeting, where he is expected to reveal more details about the behind-the-scenes struggle to oust Bartomeu from Barcelona.
Farra threatens to sue Bartomeu and turn to legal channels if the vote is postponed to a later date.
Either way, in Madrid one sees the happenings and does not shed a tear.
"There are a lot of reasons for the crisis," Marca said, "but the relationship between Bartomeu and Messi is one of the main ones. There is no doubt that Messi hears the rumors about Bartomeu's possible resignation and smiles to himself."
