After three games without a win, the third division champions FC Bayern II celebrated a deserved 2-0 home win over Waldhof Mannheim.
A slipping near the relegation zone was prevented as well as the emergence of nervousness.
Coach Holger Seitz was particularly impressed that his team “got rolling in the second half”.
After the Bayern coach had changed his starting line-up to six positions compared to the 3-2 defeat at Viktoria Köln, coordination problems were unmistakable in the first section.
In the game forward, the "Bayern amateurs" tried hard, but the guests nonetheless created a significant increase in chances.

But goalkeeper Ron-Thorben Hoffmann was reliable, so Nicolas Kühn was able to transform a preliminary work by Joshua Zirkzee into a somewhat happy 1-0 half-time lead shortly before the break.
After the restart, an open and entertaining game developed with opportunities in front of both goals.
The Munich team now had better opportunities, but it was only the French full-back Rémy Vita who ultimately decided the encounter with a single action on his left side (74th).
Seitz was able to record a “well-deserved victory” in which “we also had luck on our side”.
Next Sunday, the youngsters of the record champions will be visiting second division relegated SV Wehen-Wiesbaden.
