Drama in the world of athletics:
World champion in the 100-meter dash Christian Coleman was suspended tonight (Tuesday) for two years of activity.
Meaning: The 24-year-old American will miss the Tokyo 2021 Olympics after failing to appear for three drug tests.
The American sprinter, who won the 100m gold medal at the World Championships in Doha last year, has already managed to avoid suspension, after claiming irregularities in past tests and originally excusing that while required for a drug test he made Christmas shopping during December last year.
It should be noted that last year, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration did overturn Coleman's indictment, which was not actually caught for using illicit drugs, but this time following evading three tests within 12 months, he received the not-so-surprising suspension.
