Erdings athletes won four titles at the kickboxing championships.

Another Erdinger, Dr.

Rohland even prevented the competitions from being canceled.

Altötting / Erding - After almost eight months of abstinence, the Erdinger kickboxers finally came back to work on the weekend.

The Bavarian championships planned in April in full contact with the junior tournament were rescheduled in Altötting - and would have been canceled almost at short notice.

The tournament suddenly hung in the balance shortly before the closing date, as the planned ring doctor had to cancel due to illness.

The Erdinger pediatrician Dr.

Wolfram Rohland from Erding jumped in without further ado and thus saved the kickboxing championships.

Pleasing from Erdinger's point of view: Tatjana Obermeier (-52 kg), Emma Winter (-65 kg), Paul Kästner (-81 kg) and Gabriel Pempel (-86 kg) secured the title.

Linda Baiersdorfer (+75 kg) took second place in the junior tournament.

Baiersdorfer started the youth tournament against Elisabeth Ludwig from Deggendorf.

It was a fast-paced fight that demanded everything from both fighters.

In the end, Ludwig was ahead by a few hit points.

In contrast, it was a clear thing in the women's final for Obermeier against Melda Dursun from Deggendorf.

Both are cadre fighters and know each other from many training sessions.

The Erdingerin showed her skills and won clearly on points.

Winter from Hohenpolding had a harder time against Sina Erhard from Bad Neustadt.

The physically larger woman from Bad Neustadt was mostly in reverse, but was able to land one or the other counter blow.

In the end, Winter did her thing consistently and brought home a well-deserved victory.

Pempel was back in the ring after a one year break from fighting.

His opponent was Klemens Noah Shigaisen from Bayreuth.

Both actors watched each other for a relatively long time before it got down to business.

When the fists and feet flew, it became clear that Erdinger was more technically adept and also more experienced.

And so Pempel won on points.

The best final fight, as the Erdingen trainers Peter Lutzny and Alexander Häußer agreed, put light heavyweight Kästner down.

His opponent Dominik Schmitt from Bad Neustadt had to take more than he would like.

Kästner landed clean fist and foot combinations on Schmitt's body and head, which Schmitt put away well.

Things went really well for Kästner that day, and after three laps he secured the Bavarian championship title with a considerable lead in points.
