After the disappointing relegation in the quarterfinals in Athens, about a month ago, Hapoel Jerusalem opens another season in the FIBA Champions League tonight (Tuesday), hoping to smash its glass ceiling in the factory and qualify for the Final Four for the first time. The Reds are currently hosted by Turk Telecom Ankara. The injured Jacoben Brown, however, got Adam Ariel and Idan Zalmanson back. Ankara, like Jerusalem, was eliminated in the quarterfinals - albeit in a completely different way, when it surrendered to the edge of a basket for Dijon. It opened the season in the Turkish league, and is on balance 1: 4, with the only loss against the undefeated champion, Anadolu Efes. The Turks rely on uninterrupted firepower from their experienced foreigners: small forward Sam Decker has scored 18 points per game so far this season, 58.8 percent accurate for three and picking up 7.2 rebounds; Forward Kyle Wilcher adds 16.2 points, 47.4% from outside the arc and 7.4 rebounds; center Michael Eric issues 13.8 points on 65.1% from the field and 6 rebounds; and Canadian center Tyler Ennis contributes 13.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 5 assists in the evening .
