Manor Solomon did not score last night (Tuesday) in Shekhtar Donetsk's 0-0 against Inter, but showed not bad ability at all, especially in the defensive part.
The Israeli midfielder received defensive assignments from coach Luis Castro and rarely joined the offensive part, but helped his team maintain a clean sheet and rise to a 4-point balance in the home leg of the Champions League, which left it at home, above Real Madrid, Inter and Mönchengladbach.
Solomon completed 90 minutes, admitting at the end that he had a hard time stopping his natural tendency to go on the attack.
“As an offensive player who loves to conquer and cook, I had a very hard time staying behind all the time,” he said.
"But sometimes you have to do it, sometimes you have to defend yourself, it's also a lesson that needs to be learned. We all worked together so as not to absorb and put in tremendous effort."

The Ukrainian media also praised Shakhtar for his defensive side ability and tactical discipline, including Solomon's.
"Shakhtar's attacking players did not shine, but showed responsibility. Manor Solomon and other attacking players showed that they have abilities on the defensive side as well," it was written.
