This Wednesday evening, the president of Poissy Olivier Szewczuk presented to the group just before the session, the new coach he had chosen to replace Laurent Fournier, dismissed on Sunday.
A little earlier in the afternoon, he had finalized the last discussions with Walid Aïchour (42 years old).
As we had announced, he is therefore indeed a coach with a very Parisian profile.
Former pro (Red Star, Istres, Cannes), Walid Aïchour has just spent thirteen years at Viry-Châtillon.
Arrived in Essonne first as a player in 2007, he coached the team for seven seasons.
Aïchour notably brought Viry up to National 2. In 2019, he took him to the round of 16 of the Coupe de France with the feat of eliminating Angers (L1) when the club had just been demoted to Regional 1 for financial reasons.
Very attached to Viry, he obtained the agreement of its leaders to try the challenge of saving Poissy, currently last in Group A of National 2 (only one victory but on the green carpet).
As expected also, Aïchour will be assisted by Mickäel Pizzo, with whom he had played at Red Star.
Pizzo trained the Poissy reserve (R2) after having been a youth educator for PSG (U15)
