German Pascal Ackermann today won the ninth stage of the Tour of Spain.
Reuters reported that Ackerman won the stage title despite being second behind Irishman Sam Bennett, who was penalized by supervisors for trying to push a competitor twice during the end of the stage.
There was no change in the overall standings as Ecuadorean Richard Carabaz kept the lead.
