PSV Eindhoven continue to try to find a solution and fly to Cyprus Eran Zehavi and Jordan Teza, who were already on the plane yesterday for the match against Omonia Nicosia in the Europa League (22:00, Sport1), but were taken off less than 10 minutes before takeoff .
At the same time, the chance of a solution being found and Zahavi taking off today seems low.
Although coach Roger Schmidt has stated that "we will come to defeat Omonia Nicosia and we will not look for excuses", the Dutch club is boiling.
CEO Ton Harbrandes said yesterday: “10 minutes before take-off, we received a phone call from Cyprus.
We immediately called the UEFA which agreed with all the points we raised - after all, PSV always acted in accordance with the rules and guidelines. But the UEFA also told us that if Zehavi and Tese take off, we risk that after landing, the Cypriot authorities will immediately require them to be isolated long.
"We are talking about fair play, about UEFA laws, but in Cyprus they decided to go against them. I do not believe it is a coincidence."

Zehavi and Tese were taken off the plane because they were recently found to be positive for Corona - and even though they have both undergone negative tests since then.
The Israeli striker was furious and wrote on his Instagram account: "Corona tests and football regulations are stinking bullshit."
The Dutch wrote: "Cyprus uses different protocols from those used in the Netherlands and the UEFA.
"PSV Eindhoven and UEFA received the announcement only yesterday. Both sides are now working to convince the Cypriots that the players were left behind in Eindhoven unjustly."
