For years they have been fighting for the title of greatest player of all time, but now Michael Jordan and LeBron James are joining forces for a common goal.
Two of the biggest stars in NBA history have joined billionaire Michael Bloomberg and helped raise close to $ 27 million to help cover the legal costs of nearly 40,000 criminals imprisoned in Florida prisons - which will eventually allow them to vote in the presidential election.
It is not yet clear the exact amount the two invested out of pocket to help the initiative, but according to reports in the United States "these are significant amounts."
Dozens of other celebrities besides Jordan and LeBron have joined Bloomberg's initiative, designed to "circumvent" Florida Republican governor regulations that make it difficult for tens of thousands of criminals to participate in the vote.
Under the new regulations, those criminals - most of them blacks and Biden voters - are not eligible to vote in elections if they have not paid court costs.

The initiative involving LeBron and Jordan did not bring the desired results, as the vote count turned out that Trump won in Florida, which is considered a key state in the battle for the presidency.
According to Fox News, Trump won in Florida largely thanks to Hispanic votes, which turned their backs on Biden.
LeBron is one of the leaders of the More Than A Vote project, which aimed to raise the turnout among blacks in elections.
James even persuaded the NBA to make the teams' halls and training facilities available to the Central Election Commission, which was supposed to increase turnout.
In recent days he has officially announced his support for Joe Biden in the presidential race.
Jordan, who for years refrained from involvement and political labeling, also spoke out against Trump.
