After the defeat of PSG in Germany, the questions around the positioning of Danilo and Marquinhos were always more important.

As explained in our columns this Wednesday, the doubts of the Parisian cloakroom around the choice of Thomas Tuchel with Danilo and Marquinhos are growing day by day.

And it is not the defeat, nor the statements of the principal concerned which should stop the debate.

Asked about this after the setback conceded in Leipzig on Wednesday (2-1), the Portuguese Danilo recalled what his real position was.

“Defender, this is not my position.

Me, I'm a midfielder, he answers the microphone of Téléfoot.

The coach asks me to play in central defense, I do what the coach asks me to do.

[…] I know the basic role of a defender.

I try to get used to the coach's requests.

My partners help me a lot.

"

Measured words from the former Porto player, recruited at the very end of the summer transfer window.

As for Marquinhos, installed him in the middle by Tuchel, he tried to extinguish the fire by supporting his coach publicly.

" My job ?

You have to ask the coach that.

He has his arguments, he has chosen.

We trust him.

He had the best season in club history.

We are there to play and focus on our performance.

"

A symbolic scene, however, opens the door to all interpretations: once Marquinhos leaves the field after the German setback, Tuchel greets him with a check then takes his arm to exchange a few words ... But the Parisian captain does not stop.
