Promoted FSV Höhenrain is still missing in the district class.
But it seems to be going uphill - after all, the FSV is first in the back round table.
Höhenrain - Of all the statistics, Peter Hösl is currently the second round table of district class 3 the favorite.
With ten points, his FSV Höhenrain winters in first place in this ranking.
"That shows that we are on the right track," says the coach.
Seven of these ten points went to the newcomer under Hösl, who had replaced Gerhard Gleißner on the FSV bench during the summer break.
The newcomer would have liked to bag even more points in his four games, but his team suffered a painful 1-0 defeat at their table neighbors SC Huglfing.
“That was a bad performance,” recalls Hösl.
After the bitter Huglfing bankruptcy: Höhenrain turns up
After that it got better.
His eleven served ASV Eglfing 4: 2, fought a valuable 1-1 draw at 1. FC Garmisch-Partenkirchen II despite a semi-silk performance and retained the upper hand in the basement duel against SG Oberhausen 2-0.
"We showed the face that I say is the team," said the trainer.
But there is also the other face of the FSV.
An elf who, according to Hösl, "makes one game hui and two ugh".
The coach thought for a long time about why the appearance of his team is changing so quickly.
He has not yet come to a plausible answer.
Reasons for fluctuations?
Injury bad luck and new league
One thesis would be that the FSV struggled to adapt to the higher level in the new league in the first half of the season.
“Average performance is often enough in the A-Class,” says the coach.
"That is no longer possible in the district class."
Another approach would be the unfortunate injury that hit Höhenrain over the summer.
Michael and Benedikt Huber fell out with a hip contusion and ankle injury.
Tim Closs suffered from a torn hamstring for a long time.
When he finally cured him, the same wound overtook him again.
In addition, Matthias Mock withdrew from the team for professional reasons.
FSV trainer Hösl: A break is good for us "
“The break is really good for us,” says Hösl.
The coach tried to compensate for the numerous failures by promoting one or the other kicker from the reserve to the first team.
David Lech was the best hit and justified the trust placed in him.
But the problems of the FSV cannot be solved by personnel damage alone.
"We still get too many goals against," complained the coach.
In the championship there were only four goals that his team had to swallow in four games, but eight in three games in the league cup.
This means that the high altitude trainers are out of this competition, which Hösl can get over.
“The league has priority.” Not wrong either: his team is not already talking about something at the beginning of March if the cup is to continue.
In spring, Höhenrain goes against the descent
Although the FSV is the best team in the second half of the season, it is only ninth in the table.
This means that the Höhenrainer are out of the direct relegation zone, but have just as many points (20) as FC Kochelsee Schlehdorf, who is bobbing on the first relegation place.
"Our goal is to get out of the table cellar quickly and to make the league perfect", says Hösl his claims for the next year.
If his team is consistently performing well, the signs should be right.
