A dog running around interrupted training on the Bahrain Formula 1 desert circuit.
About half an hour before the end of the day, the last session of the day was temporarily interrupted because the animal ran across the track.
The drivers concerned took it with humor.
Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel started over the pit radio to the legendary music refrain of the group Baha Men: "Who Let the Dogs Out", he sang and joked: "If I had known that dogs were allowed, I would have brought mine with me too" .
Vettel owns a Labrador.
Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), who was already world champion, also initially thought of his own dog.
"I hope it's not Roscoe," he said over the pit radio.
The bulldog Roscoe accompanies Hamilton not only in his private life, but also in the races.
Hamilton sets the best time
Hamilton then set the best time of the training day.
With 1: 28.971 minutes he relegated Max Verstappen (Red Bull) to second place with a lead of 0.347 seconds.
On the course, which was still a bit slippery because of the rough sand, Sebastian Vettel had to be content with position twelve in his Ferrari.
Although the drivers and constructors' championship has been decided, there is still tension ahead of the third last race of the season on Sunday (3.10 p.m., live ticker SPIEGEL.de; TV: RTL, Sky).
Racing Point (154 points), McLaren (149) and Renault (136) are fighting for third place - and thus for millions in bonuses.
Ferrari still has a chance of third, but is behind with 130 points.
