Linoy Ashram won a gold medal in a major battle at the European Championships

Linoy Ashram today (Sunday) won a gold medal in a multi-event at the European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Kiev, Ukraine.

Ashram, who is considered one of the leading gymnasts in the world, took advantage of the absence of the Russian sisters Dina and Arina Avrina, who control the industry with a high hand, and won after a huge drama against the Belarusian Alina Hernesko.

This is one of the beautiful achievements of Ashram, who has already won gold medals at the 2019 European Championships in ball and pole vaulting, but never in a multi-fight.

In the current championship a gold medal was awarded only to a great fight and not to individual professions and Ashram did it big and climbed to the top of the podium.

Now, for the first time in her career, she is a European champion.

The 21-year-old gymnast has already served as the world runner-up in 2018 and a bronze medalist last year.

It is considered one of Israel's biggest hopes for winning an Olympic medal at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.
