Landsberg -

early stages in sport can go one way or the other.

Some are incredibly eventful.

Anyone who tunes in too late has already missed the best.

But there are also the other initial phases.

The ones where you can safely turn on the television a few minutes later or open your laptop.

Such was the experience of the audience who watched the game of the ice hockey league south between HC Landsberg and SC Riessersee on Sprade TV.

Yawning boredom for the first five minutes or so.

But then you should have switched on better.

Because then the game picked up speed and ultimately resulted in a 6: 2 for the SCR.

First boredom, then dominance

In the end it was an extremely commanding victory for the Riesserseer, who dominated for long stretches.

They started after the said five minutes, which can be described with a term that is almost a phrase in itself: feel.

Then the action on the ice shifted to the third of the hosts.

Suddenly the SCR succeeded in constricting the enemy.

The result: the guided tour through Eetu-Ville Arkiomaa on input from Uli Maurer.

A brief moment of shock followed for the guests, because the Riverkings almost had the direct answer ready - Latte.

Luck for the SCR, who then no longer relied on it and put the opponent under pressure again.

With success.

After around 10 minutes it was 2-0.

But the decision about the validity took some time.

Anton Radu had cleared HC goalie Michael Güßbacher with his goal.

The question: Was the disc behind the goal line before or after contact?

The team of referees around ex-DEL professional Aleksander Polaczek opted for the first variant and thus 2-0 for the SCR.

SCR-Trio gives Landsberg a lot of trouble

It stayed that way even after one third.

But it didn't have to stay that way, almost not allowed from the guest's point of view.

Because they created one chance after the other.

This was due to the line-up of Uli Maurer, Florian Vollmer and Arkiomaa.

These three gave the Landsbergers a lot of trouble.

Moritz Miguez scores his first goal of the season

And that also applied to third number two.

The SCR didn’t let up, but increased it.

Arkiomaa made 3-0 after a counterattack, while Maurer outnumbered them 4-0.

The hosts were mercilessly inferior at this point.

This was also due to the fact that the Riesserseer avoided what coach George Kink had recently criticized again and again and cost one point or another: individual mistakes.

They only afforded one.

Tom Horschel tried the risk pass in the top and failed.

The consequence: the connection hit.

But Moritz Miguez had the prompt answer ready - 5: 1.

His first goal of the season.

Three Riesserseer hits in excess

So it went into the final third, with the SCR in the forefront limited to keeping the puck in their own ranks to take time off the clock.

Every now and then, however, offensive accents were set.

Like the 6: 1 by Benjamin Kronawitter, who hit with a nice wrist shot.

This goal was also outnumbered, the third that evening.

Noticeable, the Garmisch-Partenkirchner had recently conceded instead of scored hits in their own power play.

Not so in Landsberg.

Nevertheless, the hosts had the last word with the 2: 6.

The end of an entertaining game.
