PSG announced on Monday its support for the Paris-Ile-de-France Football League (LPIFF), in order to cushion a little the shock of the health crisis which has paralyzed amateur football.

The 1,200 clubs in the region are on standby until January 20 for adults but have mostly relaunched training for young people.

The PSG endowment fund will pay "one euro per licensee under 19, or 174,615 euros".

It is up to them to make the best use of it.

After the first payment of 174,615 euros this year, PSG will allocate 150,000 euros next season to the Ile-de-France League but this time within the framework of specific projects on which the endowment fund will have "a decisive voice" according to the club.

Jamel Sandjak, the president of the LPIFF, justifies allocating in a homogeneous way "very quickly" the first payment by "a recovery aid for categories U 6 to U 19 thus responding to the emergency in which the health crisis has dived the clubs ”.

"PSG has a duty of solidarity and sharing"

PSG, which most often develops its own charitable operations (Red & Blue Schools, partnership with the Necker-Enfants Malades hospital, etc.), intends to "strengthen relations" with football in the Ile-de-France region.

"As the first club in the capital and Ile de France, the club has a duty of solidarity and sharing with the many surrounding clubs which form the hopes of tomorrow," said PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi in a press release sent on this occasion.

In collaboration with the Ligue de Paris - Ile de France football (LPIFF), the Parisian club wished to come to the aid of Ile de France clubs and demonstrate its unfailing solidarity.

The PSG endowment fund, closely linked to the Foundation, is financed by the sponsorship activities of the PSG.

It is particularly well supported by the club's gala, which raised nearly € 1.3 million during its last edition in 2019, a good part of which by the stars of the club, who had snatched works of art at auction. .

That of this year had to be canceled and the club plans to set up actions soon to bring in funds useful for its charitable actions.
