Is Diego Maradona about to win a tribute reserved only for the truly great?
Norma Durango, a senator in the Argentine government, suggested embossing the picture of the deceased star on a 1,000-peso banknote.
According to his proposal, the bill will contain a picture of Maradona with a picture in the background of one of his most famous exiles, the second goal in the quarter-final of the 86 World Cup against England.
The senator also suggested stamping Maradona's picture on stamps.

"The idea is not only to commemorate our most important symbol, but also to think about the economic aspect," Durango explained, "We feel that when tourists come here, we want to take 'Maradona' with them on a trip."
Durango added that the final decision on whether to make this move will be made early next year.
As you may recall, Maradona died of a heart attack at the age of 60 last month.
A few weeks earlier he had successfully undergone surgery to remove a blood clot in his head, but it had collapsed in his home in Tigre.
Maradona scored 34 goals in 91 appearances for Argentina and represented them in four World Cups, including a memorable 1986 World Cup win.
