Several dozen supporters came to express their hostility this Sunday to Waldemar Kita, president of FC Nantes, who has just joined

Clashes broke out on Sunday near the Beaujoire stadium in Nantes between the police and several dozen supporters who came to denounce the management of President Waldemar Kita.

“FC Kita, we don't want it,” chanted supporters around the stadium, before cracking several smoke bombs at the entrance to the main car park.

While around twenty CRS buses were mobilized, the police intervened to prevent them from entering the parking lot, with repeated shootings of tear gas, some of which landed on the neighboring ring road.

Coaches parade since 2007

"Kita, this time it's over," assured a banner waved by supporters, who also threw smoke bombs and bins against the CRS.

Many Nantes supporters have denounced for years the management of Kita, who has already scrolled 14 coaches - not counting the interim ones - since his arrival in 2007.

The latest, Christian Gourcuff, was sacked on Tuesday following the 4-0 humiliation suffered on December 6 against Strasbourg.

Very inconstant since the start of the season, Nantes are in 14th place in Ligue 1, 3 points behind the barrage.

His deputy Patrick Collot was in charge of acting for the four matches still to be played in December, starting with that against the red lantern, which kicked off this Sunday at 3 p.m.
