The Syrian national basketball team has advanced five places in the international rankings of the International Basketball Federation, to become the eighth in the Arab world, the seventeenth in Asia, and the ninety globally.
Our team beat Iran 77-70 points in the second window of the Asian Nations 2021 qualifiers, after losing to Qatar by 72-79 points at the opening of the same window on the 30th of last month.
It is noteworthy that our team defeated its Saudi counterpart by 75-70 points within the first window in which it opened its career by losing against Iran by 48-94 points, in the fifth group.
