The Football Association's locating committee will convene today (Monday) to approve the continuation of the path of Willy Rotensteiner as coach of the Israeli national team.

Sports, committee members Eli Ohana and Eli Cohen supported all along Rotensteiner's continued stay as coach of the Israeli national team and was joined by Football Association chairman Oren Hasson who debated which position he wanted Rotensteiner and finally decided that of the two positions the Austrian held, he preferred him as national team coach.

Yesterday Hasson met with Rotensteiner and the two agreed that it would be better for the Football Association to continue as coach.

Today Hasson will meet with the committee members and at the end of the meeting, the announcement is expected.

After Rotensteiner's approval by the search committee, a technical director will be elected for Israel's youth teams who will work alongside Rotensteiner and receive from him all the information available to the Austrian Authority.

The Football Association will take advantage of the knowledge the coach has and he will have to assist the new technical director.

Following the official appointment of Rotensteiner, the committee members will select the coaches of the youth teams, with Alon Hazan nominated for the Olympic team and Ofir Haim as the coach of the second youth team.

The coaches who will be selected for the youth teams will also work in the recently opened centers of excellence so that their position will not focus solely on coaching the youth teams.
