The cases of corona in the EC Peiting team are increasing.

Nevertheless, the league team looks confidently ahead.

Peiting

- There was good and bad news at EC Peiting around Epiphany.

The unpleasant ones were provided by the results of the corona tests that the team underwent after a player had a positive rapid test after the home game against Lindau on Boxing Day.

"In total we have three players who tested positive," reported ECP team manager Gordon Borberg.

At the same time, however, there was also the good news that all other tests were negative and that all unaffected players can return to the ice.

The team completed their first joint training session on Friday.

Ice hockey: Peiting's catch-up game against Landsberg postponed from Tuesday to Wednesday

Coach Sebastian Buchwieser's squad is free of play this Sunday.

In the coming week - "if everything goes well," says Borberg - the Peitinger team should return to play at HC Landsberg.

The neighboring duel of the Oberliga Süd will not take place on Tuesday, January 12th as planned, but one day later on Wednesday.

"This means we have one more day of preparation," says Borberg, who refers to the hygiene concept agreed with the health department in relation to the corona events.

“We distributed the players to several cabins and set up a specially rented container in the courtyard for this,” reports the team manager.

Ice hockey: Daily symptom control for Peitings players

This makes it possible for the players in the dressing room, in which there is a mask requirement, to keep the prescribed distance from their teammates.

In addition, the cabins are regularly ventilated and disinfected.

Daily symptom control including appropriate documentation is also required.

"In the event of a cold, there is a training ban and rapid tests by our team doctors," reports Borberg, who does not provide any information on the health of the currently infected players in the Peitinger team.

“That is subject to confidentiality,” says Borberg.

What is clear, however, is that the trio will only be allowed on the ice again once they have been checked and found fit according to the DEB recommendation “Return to Sport”.
