The Colombian Football Association announced the appointment of Reynardo Rueda as the new coach of the first team in his second term, hours after his departure from the English club Chelsea.
According to Reuters, Rueda split from Chelsea yesterday to replace Carlos Queiroz, who left Colombia's national team last month after two consecutive defeats in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
Rueda, 63, led Colombia in the 2004 South American Cup and the Gold Cup one year later, but failed to lead his country to qualify for the 2006 World Cup in Germany.
