She finished last week with a victory in the mixed single relay, associated with Emilien Jacquelin, at the end of a perfectly controlled race, in Oberhof (Germany).
This Sunday, Julia Simon created the sensation and put it back, all alone, on the mass-start.
At the end of a race full of twists and turns, she beat the German Franziska Preuss and the Swedish Hanna Oeberg.

This time, nothing has been easy for the Albertville biathlete.
When she arrived on the last firing point, in 11th position, Dorothea Wierer, then in charge of the race, had been installed for 47 seconds.
However, Simon came out in the lead, thanks to a perfect last shot (17/20 in total), taking advantage of the two errors of the Italian, impeccable so far.
The French then had Preuss, in the sprint, to fly, at 24, to the second success of her career, in the World Cup, after the pursuit of Kontiolahti last March.
This is the first women's individual victory of the season for the Blues.
By winning in the temple of Oberhof, Simon becomes the fifth Frenchwoman to win a mass-start in the World Cup after Corinne Niogret, Sandrine Bailly, Justine Braisaz and Marie Dorin-Habert.
